Through the Africa Investment Summit we will work with member states and their development partners on public-private partnerships and private-sector-led economies in Member States through the implementation of the AfCFTA. Entrepreneur-led initiatives by women and youth as engines of the AfCFTA in the ecosystem to identify projects that can attract financing and infrastructure investment for sustainable development in the Member States through the industrialisation of the following sectors:

This framework aims to provide a platform for consistent engagement with the private and public sectors for policy and regulatory reforms to promote an export-driven private sector economy that generates employment opportunities and bolsters an efficient public sector. South Africa is uniquely suited to host the 2024 Africa Investment Summit under the theme “Igniting Sustainable Economic Growth, Development, and Resilience Through Africa Investments” because of its advantageous location, investment opportunities, political stability, business-friendly environment, economic development initiatives, and regional integration efforts. Such an event could attract much-needed investment to South Africa and South Africa’s neighbouring countries and promote broader economic development and integration across Africa.
