Brad Rogers

Brad Rogers is Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering in the College of Technology and Innovation at the Polytechnic Campus of Arizona State University, and is the Director of Research and Development for GlobalResolve, an interdisciplinary social entrepreneurship initiative at ASU that seeks to leverage the skills and talents of students and faculty at ASU and international partner universities to create sustainable enterprises in the developing world.  In support of the GlobalResolve initiative, he has worked in multiple locations in the developing world, but has concentrated on West Africa, where he has taken eight groups of students to work on multiple projects in rural and peri-urban areas.  His academic background is in the fields of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, magnetohydrodynamics, and applied mathematics, and he has been involved in the design and evaluation of traditional and alternative energy conversion systems for 34 years. He has been a faculty member at ASU since 1984, has taught more than 40 separate courses during his tenure, and has published more than 40 articles in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He has worked in private industry and for national laboratories.
